5.1.2 Directory Services Connector

Directory Services Connector enables the use of external Identity Providers (IdP) as the source of Thinfinity user accounts. Authentication is delegated to the connected IdP, while Thinfinity manages authorization and access control over the external users and groups.

Common Directory Services Examples:

  • Remote AD— Accessing a domain located remotely.

  • Thinfinity IdP— Thifninity's native identity provider.

  • External Database— Based on client's application database.
