Using API access for authentication provides a way to interact with the platform programmatically, bypassing the need for a traditional UI login. This method allows external systems or applications to authenticate and perform actions like obtaining data, creating or managing user profiles, labels, and more—all through secure API requests.
This authentication method is particularly useful for organizations that need to scale operations, automate repetitive tasks, and integrate with other software environments.
To access API Access configuration settings, navigate to Configuration Manager>Authentication>Methods, click Add and select API Access. Next, double click the method or select it and click Edit.
