4.4.3 Intranet Websites and Web Apps

With Thinfinity Workspace, intranet websites and web apps can be published by creating Application Access Profiles. Besides the minimal parameters that can be set for this type of Access Profile (such as the connection protocol, the type of app to be published, authorization and access settings, etc.) Thinfinity Workspace can be configured to act as a Web Application Gateway for your intranet websites and web apps.

The following options are available:

• Web Application Gateway - requires the creation of a subdomain, replaces the subdomain and it is necessary to implement a host or DNS redirection in order to make it function.

• Reverse Proxy with link Replacement - preserves the original Virtual Path generated for the Access Profile and content is not replaced but dynamically generated: not by using a subdomain but instead by replacing links found within the HTML content.

• Reverse Proxy - classic port forwarding.
