Configuring Thinfinity Gateway

To properly configure Thinfinity Gateway within the Thinfinity® Workspace network, follow these steps.

Set Thinfinity Workspace Role as Gateway

Launch the Thinfinity Configuration Manager, navigate to the Services tab, and select the Gateway option from the dropdown menu. Click Apply to implement the configuration changes.

Add a New Binding

In the General tab, navigate to the Bindings section. Click Add and complete the configuration form as follow:

  • Specify the desired protocol, and cofigure the port number adhering to best practices, utilizing HTTPS.

  • Set the access IP to Thinfinity Workspace.

  • If you choose HTTPS, it necessary to also add a certificate.

When finished, click OK and Apply to commit changes.

Copy or Edit Network ID

Back in the General tab, click the Network ID button, and utilize the pop-up to copy or modify the Network ID value. This parameter is required for subsequent configurations to accurately register Brokers.

Commit Changes

Submit changes by clicking Apply.

Configuring Thinfinity Primary Broker

Set Thinfinity Workspace Role as Primary Broker

Launch the Thinfinity Configuration Manager, navigate to the Services tab, and select the Primary Broker option from the associated dropdown menu. Click Apply to implement the configuration changes.

Set the Network ID Parameter

In the General tab, go to the Gateways section and write the same Network ID you used in the Gateway Configuration.

Add Users and Permissions to Access to Thinfinity Workspace

In the Permissions tab click Add from the Users and groups section, and search the member/s to whom you want to grant access. Configure the member/s by checking the access properties from the Permissions section.

Commit Changes

Submit changes by clicking Apply.

Configuring Thinfinity Secondary Broker

Set Thinfinity Workspace Role as Seconday Broker

Launch the Thinfinity Configuration Manager, navigate to the Services tab, and select the Secondary Broker option from the associated dropdown menu. Click Apply to implement the configuration changes.

Set the Network ID Parameter

In the General tab, go to the Gateways section and write the same Network ID you used before in the Gateway Configuration.

Commit Changes

Submit changes by clicking Apply.
