AD Cache Tab

circle-exclamation

AD Cache is a service that creates a unified external Active Directory domain across multiple nodes. It improves both performance and management by persisting domain information directly in memory.

Beyond grouping, AD Cache provides granular access control. You can build an authorized access list by adding specific users and groups, ensuring only permitted people can interact with the domain. Because this configuration is cached in memory, access checks are performed with minimal latency.

Option
Description

Use this group as root

Limits the scope of which users and groups Thinfinity Workspace can interact with in your organization's Active Directory.

Add new users to these groups

Add or remove individual users that are not part of the root group.

Access by API Key

This API Key will be autogenerated individually and acts as a unique domain identifier. Important: To ensure all your nodes are recognized as part of the same external AD, you must manually copy this exact key to every other Remote AD service in your network. Nodes with a matching key will function as members of the same domain.
