Configuring Resource Reservation Settings

Resource Reservation configurations can be centrally defined by administrative users at the system-wide level for all access profiles. These configurations are accessible via the primary Resource Reservation interface through the Settings menu. The parameters include:

  • Maximum Exclusive Use Duration: The upper limit on the length of time a resource can be reserved exclusively by a single user.

  • Minimum Reservation Interval: The smallest permissible reservation period, including the temporal granularity (e.g., 15-minute increments) for selecting reservation start and end times.

  • Grace Period: The maximum allowable extension duration granted to a user beyond the scheduled reservation end time to continue resource utilization.

  • Exception Dates: Specific calendar dates designated as non-bookable periods for all access profiles, preventing any reservation activity on these days.
