2.2.2 Available Roles

Upon completion of the Thinfinity® Workspace InstallShield Wizard, the following role options will be available:

Option	Description
All-in-one	Enable all Components and Services on the same computer, recommended for evaluation and testing purposes.
Gateway	Enable only the Gateway Services. Works together with one or more Brokers (Primary and Secondary). In scaling and load balancing environments, multiple Gateway instances can operate concurrently to enhance performance and redundancy.
Primary Broker	Enable only the Primary Broker Services. As a standalone configuration, it functions in conjunction with the Gateway. In scenarios involving scaling and load balancing, multiple Primary Brokers operate concurrently and register with one or multiple Gateways.
Secondary Broker	Enable only the Secondary Broker with the Services need for scaling and load balancing scenarios.
AD Cache	Enable all necessary components to configure a remote Active Directory environment for user and group management.
