2.3.2 Configuring the Gateway

In Thinfinity Configuration Manager, in the General tab, you’ll need to define the network settings for the service. This includes selecting the IP address the service will listen on - either a specific address or all available network interfaces - and specifying the port number. For secure connections, port 443 (HTTPS) is recommended. While port 80 (HTTP) is available, it is not recommended due to its lack of encryption.

You’ll also need to choose the communication protocol—HTTP or HTTPS. If you select HTTPS, make sure to also select the mandatory SLL/TLS certificate.

Note

If you installed Thinfinity Workspace as a Reverse Gateway only, the Configuration Manager dialog window is presented as Thinfinity Gateway.
