4.3.1 Remote Desktops

In Thinfinity® Workspace, remote desktops can be published by creating RDC Access Profiles. A Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) allows users to access and control a remote computer over a network or the Internet. Using RDC, users can connect to a remote computer and interact with its desktop environment as if they were sitting in front of it, providing a convenient and efficient solution for remote work, support, and collaboration.

To create an RDC (Remote Desktop Connection) Access Profile and publish your remote desktop:

1

Start the Access Profile Wizard

In Thinfinity Workspace home page click on New Profile.

2

Select an Access Profile Type

In the first screen of the Access Profile Wizard select Desktop and click Next.

3

Choose the Desktop Connection Type

In the next step of the Wizard choose the RDC type for the desktop connection, then click Next.

4

Set Up the Connection

Select the desktop you want to publish:

Select This PC if you want to publish the desktop of the current computer.

Select Another PC if want to publish the desktop of a different computer. If you select Another PC, you will also have to specify the IP address of the target PC and a Broker Pool (optional and depending on the current deployment configuration).

Commit the Changes

If you are defining only one profile, you can use Commit right after configuring all the desired parameters.
