6.1.2 Directory Services Connector
Directory Services Connector facilitates integration with external IdPs as the authoritative source for Thinfinity Workspace user account authentication. Authentication processes are delegated to the connected IdP, while Workspace retains responsibility for managing authorization, permissions, and access control policies for external user accounts and group memberships.
Examples of Directory Services integrations include:
RemoteAD: Connecting to a domain controller situated remotely over network protocols.
Thinfinity IdP: Utilizing Thinfinity's Workspace built-in identity provider for user authentication.
External Database: Leveraging a client-managed application database as the backend identity store.
