In order to use a CA certificate, you need to get a certificate from a known Certificate Authority (CA). Some CA examples include GoDaddy, VeriSign, Thawte, GeoTrust, and Network Solutions.
To request a certificate from a CA:
Go to Thinfinity® Configuration Manager > General tab. Select the HTTPS binding/connection where you want to use the CA certificate then click Edit.
In Bindings dialog window click New and in Manage SSL Certificate window click Create a certificate request button.
Fill in the form shown below with your organization's data then click Create.

The second window will ask you for a location where to keep the Request Key file.
Enter a name for the request file.
Select a directory where you can find the file later on to send to the CA.
Press Save.
Send only the request file to the CA.
After the validation process is finished you will receive a certificate from the CA. Save this certificate in Thinfinity Workspace cert directory and inform the path to the file in the Binding dialog window (Thinfinity Workspace Configuration Manager>General tab>Edit button. For details, see Managing the SSL Certificate.)
