Bidirectional Audio Redirection

To enable the use of Bidirectional audio redirection feature, first you need to activate it from the Configuration Manager and then from the Web Manager.

In Thinfinity® Configuration Manager, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Access Profiles tab then select the profile where you want to enable remote sound and click Edit.

2. In the Profile Editor, go to Resources tab and check Enable Sound. The default sound quality is Optimum. You can increase the quality, by setting it up to Excellent, or make it lower, to gain performance. To adjust the sound quality, enable the functionality in the Web Manager then connect to the remote machine using this profile and try to listen to any sound playing remotely.

In the Web Manager, follow the steps:

1. In Thinfinity Workspace home page, locate the access profile for which you enabled Bidirectional audio redirection, click on the three-dot menu and select Edit.

2. In the profile Settings menu navigate to Resources:

   1. Check the option Enable Remote Sound.

   2. Choose the quality from Sound Quality.

   3. Select Play on remote computer.

1. Connect and play a remote sound from your preferred browser.

If Microphone redirection is enabled (which it is by default), you will have to grant the browser permission to access it.
