Adding a Binding
The default port is 9443, which is recommended for use. However, if necessary, alternative ports can be configured based on your specific network requirements or infrastructure setup. Ensure that any changes comply with your security and performance guidelines.
Open Configuration Manager
In the General tab, click Add under the Bindings section.
Select Connection Settings
Choose an IP address to listen on:
Select All unassigned to accept connections from any available IP.
Enter a port number:
9443 for HTTPS which is the default port (recommended).
80 for HTTP (not recommended for production).
Choose the protocol: HTTP or HTTPS.
Save and Apply Changes
Click OK to save the binding.
Click Apply in the Configuration Manager to confirm the changes.
Setting Up HTTPS (Optional but Recommended)
For secure encrypted connections, you can configure Thinfinity Workspace to use HTTPS.
Installing an SSL/TLS Certificate

In Configuration Manager
In the General tab, select the HTTPS binding you want to secure.
Click Browse next to the certificate field and select your SSL/TLS certificate file.
If prompted, enter the certificate’s password.
Apply changes
Click OK to save.
Click Apply for the changes to take place.
Testing the Certificate
Open a web browser and go to your Thinfinity Workspace URL (e.g.,
https://yourdomain.com
).Check for a secure connection (look for a padlock icon in the address bar).
Verifying Your Configuration (Optional)
To ensure everything is set up correctly:
Review your bindings to confirm they match your network settings.
Double-check that HTTPS bindings have the correct certificates.
Test connections from both inside and outside your network, if applicable.
Best Practices
Use HTTPS for all connections to protect sensitive data.
Assign specific IP addresses to bindings to restrict access to trusted networks.
Regularly update your SSL/TLS certificates to maintain security.
Document the bindings and certificates configuration for future reference.
By following these steps, you ensure Thinfinity Workspace is securely configured and ready for use.
