z/Scope Classic is a terminal emulator that allows users to interact with applications that depend on the interface of the command line. It gives access to IBM Mainframes, IBM AS/400, and Unix servers. It can be run under Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows ME, Windows NT/2000, and Windows XP platforms, supporting TN3270E, TN5250E, and VT100/220/320/420 terminal emulation protocols.

It's a fully integrated FTP client with full awareness of AS/400 objects and z/OS datasets. It allows one to browse web pages without leaving the z/Scope environment thanks to its integrated web browsing interface.

Remote Printing Services can be included to make host print jobs available to local and network printers by emulating IBM-3287-1 and IBM-3812-1 printers.

For details, see .

The z/Scope Access Profile uses the z/Scope Classic terminal emulator to provide access to the servers mentioned above.

To access the zScope Classic access profile settings, navigate to Configuration Manager>Access Profiles then click Add and select zScope Classic. Alternatively, double click a zScope Classic access profile from the list or select it and click Edit.

Virtual Path

By default, Thinfinity creates a unique URL address for the current connection. If you want to customize it, make sure your address is unique and web compatible and that it has the following format: http(s)://ThinfinityDomain:port/VirtualPath/. You can then create a web shortcut for this specific connection and bypass the Thinfinity® Workspace web interface.
