5.5.4.1 Permission Inheritance

By default, a Label inherits the permissions from its parent Label and passes on the permissions to its child Label(s) and/or the Access Profiles within that Label. At the same time, if the Inherit label access permissions option is disabled for an Access Profile, the access permissions set individually for it take precedence over the permissions assigned to the Label itself.

For example, if user A is granted access to the Label that contains three different Access Profiles, they will be able to see the Label and the three access profiles.

If user B is granted access specifically to one of the three access profiles within the Label, they will see the Label and the profile where they have been granted access, the remaining three access profiles will not be visible to user B.

On the other hand, if a user is granted access directly to the Label, all Access Profiles associated with it will become visible and accessible to that user. This means that, in some scenarios, Access Profiles can inherit visibility permissions from the Label as well, depending on the access configuration.
