6.4 Virtualization Agent

The Thinfinity Virtualization Agent presents an alternative deployment model involving direct installation on the target machine. In this configuration, the endpoint assumes responsibility for local virtualization workload and session rendering. It is a specialized dedicated process, for RDP or VUI connections but it can also work with Thinfinty VNC.

Once installed, each Virtualization Agent is identified by a unique Agent ID which is then used to grant access via a specifically configured access profile.

Connectivity to the local desktop and applications is supported via RemoteApp and/or VirtualUI protocols.

Similar to Secondary Brokers, Virtualization Agents can be aggregated into pools to facilitate load balancing and high availability. Furthermore, Agents require association with designated Gateway(s) utilizing the NetworkID and the Gateway URL.
