6.3 Broker

Thinfinity Brokers serve as the central intelligence and orchestration components of the Thinfinity® Workspace architecture. They manage user sessions, authentication, and the distribution of workload.

Primary Broker

The Primary Broker serves as the central management point for the Thinfinity front-end, orchestrating and executing each virtualization process required to establish connections with designated destinations or applications. This configuration employs a centralized model akin to a jump server architecture.

Furthermore, the system supports the deployment and registration of multiple Primary Brokers within the Gateway framework. This arrangement enables collaborative core management, authentication, and orchestration functions while concurrently providing high availability and redundancy capabilities.

Secondary Brokers

Secondary Brokers are implemented to broaden operational capabilities, bolster system robustness, and optimize efficiency. In this scenario, Secondary Brokers launch and manage their own virtualization processes, one per each connection.

Secondary Brokers can be grouped into Broker Pools. This architectural configuration facilitates the sharing of an identical group of profiles and enables access to resources from any Broker within the pool, thereby assuring enhanced availability and fault tolerance.
