Transfer Files with Thinfinity WebBridge
Thinfinity® Workspace WebBridge enables file transfers over virtual channels in remote desktop sessions when you are connected from a web browser through Thinfinity® Workspace Web Manager. It supports drag-and-drop and clientless access to local storage, allowing interaction between the user’s device and the remote environment without relying on legacy transfer methods. This is useful for applications that need access to local files such as configuration data, images, or databases.
Installing Thinfinity® WebBridge
Thinfinity WebBridge must be installed on the remote machine where file transfers will occur. No plugins or add-ons are required on the client side.
To install WebBridge:
Download the Thinfinity_RDTools_[vx.x].msi installer on the target machine.
Run the installer.
Once installed, the target machine will be ready to handle file transfers via the WebBridge virtual drive.
Uploading Files
There are two ways to upload files during a Thinfinity® Workspace remote desktop session:
Drag a file into the browser window running the remote session. You’ll be prompted to choose a destination folder within the remote desktop, depending on your access permissions.
In the remote session, open the Thinfinity WebBridge drive and double-click Upload Here. This launches your local file explorer so you can select a file to upload.
Downloading Files
Files can be downloaded from a remote session in two ways:
Drag a file from the Thinfinity WebBridge drive into the browser window. The download will start automatically.
Right-click any file in the remote session and select Send to Browser. The file will be downloaded instantly.
