8.3 Simplify Access to Your Existing Cloud VMs
Cloud Manager enables you to connect and manage existing VMs within your cloud environment—no need to provision new infrastructure. By integrating pre-existing VMs, you can seamlessly transform them into remote-access resources for your users.
At a high level, the process involves:
Authenticating with your cloud provider to securely access your VM inventory.
Scanning and selecting the VMs you want to bring under Thinfinity’s management.
Choosing connection and power management options—such as using public or private IPs, manual shutdown, on-demand startup, or scheduled power cycles.
Assigning friendly names and descriptions to keep your VM pool organized.
Once integrated, these VMs appear in the Cloud Manager dashboard, ready to be assigned via Access Profiles. From there, you can monitor their status, track usage, and hand them off to end users for a familiar remote-desktop experience—all within the same unified platform.
This integration gives IT teams the flexibility to leverage existing infrastructure, streamline access control, and enhance operational visibility without migrating or rebuilding virtual machines.
